Diljit Dosanjh's wax statue will be the first turbaned figure at Madame Tussauds; to be unveiled in Delhi on this day

That Diljit Dosanjh has a huge fan base across the world is a well-known fact by now. The Punjabi actor-singer, who has also appeared in Bollywood films, will soon have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds wax museum in Delhi. 

Dosanjh's statue is going to be the first turbaned figure in the museum and will be unveiled by the actor himself in Delhi on Thursday. 

Expressing his happiness, Diljit took to his Instagram account to share a picture of himself along with the news.“#MadameTussauds 28 February 2019 #WaxStatue DOSANJHANWALE Da I’ll be there Thursday Nu Milde An.. LOVE MY FANS @madametussauds @madametussaudsdelhi,” he wrote alongside his picture.

Diljit was last seen in ‘Soorma’, a biographical sports drama film based on the life of hockey player Sandeep Singh. The film also starred Taapsee Pannu in a lead role. The actor has also starred in critically acclaimed ‘Udta Punjab’ alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor and ‘Phillauri’ opposite Anushka Sharma.

Apart from being an amazing actor, Diljit is also a singer and has given many hits like ‘Ikk Kuddi’, ‘Do You Know’ and ‘Tung Tung Baje’, among others.

He will be next seen in ‘Good News’ alongside Kiara Advani, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Akshay Kumar. ‘Good News’ will hit the theatres on September 6, 2019.

In November 2018, both Kiara and Diljit had shared a video, announcing the start of their film’s shoot. The film revolves around a couple trying to have a baby.

The Delhi Madame Tussauds showcases the wax statues of many Bollywood and international celebrities. Diljit’s statue will stand amongst the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonu Nigam, Lady Gaga, Justin Beiber, David Beckham, Virat Kohli, Michael Jackson, among others.
