Deepika Padukone was seen bonding with Kendall Jenner at the Youth Anxiety Center, New York on Tuesday night. The two posed together and smiled brightly for the cameras at the event.

Deepika Padukone, who was recently in London shooting for her upcoming film '83' was spotted in New York on Tuesday night. Dressed in a fringed Alberta Ferretti pantsuit, the actress was seen attending a fundraising event at the Youth Anxiety Center in New York.

The Youth Anxiety Center was founded in 2013 to provide support and treatment to youths suffering from depression and anxiety by methods of thorough research and clinical programming.

Deepika Padukone also met up with Kendall Jenner at the event who looked equally beautiful in an orange bodycon dress. Padukone not only shared her history with clinical depression but opened up about the obstacles she faced before she acknowledged her situation and finally started on the path to recovery. In a video posted on Deepika's profile, she can be seen interacting with the other members at the fundraising event and talking about these struggles.

Deepika Padukone opened the 'Live Love Laugh' foundation in October 2015 with the aim to create awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues in India.

According to Vogue India, Deepika talked about dealing with mental health issues stating, ''That was the hardest part. To put on a front every single day like everything is okay in your life when actually that’s far from reality. You’re smiling and bringing joy into other people’s lives when you have none.”

Deepika also posted pictures from Tuesday night on her Instagram handle, captioning them as, "Mental illness has presented society with a very tough challenge... But my experience with the illness has taught me so much; to be patient for one...but most importantly that there is ‘Hope’! @tlllfoundation #youthanxietycentre"
