Gerard Butler disaster thriller 'Greenland' is now expected to release on Aug. 14. in the United States, this comes after re-schedule of Christopher Nolan’s 'Tenet' from July 17 to July 31.

The upcoming movie which is helmed by Ric Roman Waugh was earlier scheduled for a July 31 theatrical opening. Earlier, Waugh has also worked with the actor on following projects including, 'Angel Has Fallen', 'Olympus Has Fallen' film series.

As the movie was earlier slated to release in the month of June, but, due to the virus outbreak, the cinemas across the world were closed.
The film is written by Chris Sparling and is backed by STX Films. As per news reports, the revolves around the life of a family who is battling to survive as the world is nearing its end. The movie is among the few projects that will hit the US theatres after coronavirus lockdown.
