Celebrity chef Vikas Khanna brought festive cheer on Sunday for Eid as he sponsored meals for 2 lakh people in Mumbai.

Owing to the pandemic and nationwide lockdown, several underprivileged families have been affected as their means of livelihood has either become limited or stopped. Migrant workers have been left homeless and cannot afford food.

On Eid, a festival synonymous with giving hope and joy and helping others, Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna initiated the 'world's largest Eid feast' as his team served 200,000 people in Mumbai as part of the 'Feed India' initiative.

Under the 'Feed India' initiative, Khanna has been feeding people on the streets all around India so that they do not go hungry even on a single day amid this time of crisis.

The chef shared a video on Twitter of his team serving those in need.

Earlier, touched by actor Sonu Sood's gesture of sending migrants back home in special busses, the chef had renamed a dish after the actor.
