BTS and Big Hit entertainment donate $1 million to Black Lives Matter protest

Earlier this week, BTS took to their Twitter profile to share a statement of solidarity with the Black community.
After giving a strong statement in support for the Black Lives Matter movement earlier this week, now BTS along with Big Hit entertainment have come forward to help people in the US who are protesting to seek justice for George Floyd and for black people.

By taking a step forward, BTS with Big Hit entertainment have donated a whopping $ 1 million to Black Lives Matter movement , a news agency confirmed.

'Black people all over the world are in pain at this moment from the trauma of centuries of oppression. We are moved by the generosity of BTS and allies all over the world who stand in solidarity in the fight for Black lives'', managing director for Black Lives Matter said
Earlier this week, BTS took to their Twitter profile to share a statement of solidarity with the Black community, "We stand against racial discrimination. We condemn violence. You, I and we all have the right to be respected. We will stand together. #BlackLivesMatter" they wrote.

Celebrities from all over the world are doing their best to seek justice against the brutal killing of George Floyd, who died on May 25 after police officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for over eight minutes despite the 46-year-old pleading him to let him go. The video of the arrest went viral which sparked protests and riots in Minneapolis and other cities across the United States.
