Avengers’ star Chris Hemsworth has a surprise in store. He will next essay the role of world-famous wrestler Hulk Hogan in a new biopic based on his life. 

According to a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be directed by Todd Phillips and written by Scott Silver, the director and writer duo of the upcoming DC Comics movie ‘The Joker’. 

The biopic planned will most likely release on Netflix. It will be produced by Bradley Cooper and Chris Hemsworth himself. 

After the news was announced on social media, netizens took to their profiles in excitement. Among others, Chris’ Avengers’ colleague, ‘Captain America’ Chris Evans also tweeted. He wrote: "This might be the best news I've ever heard."  

Hemsworth and Evans will reunite for the last film from the Avengers franchise -- ‘Endgame’. The film is slated to release this April. 

Hulk Hogan began his career in the late 1970s in the Florida wrestling circuit and steadily rose to the ranks. The film will reportedly delve into his early life and focus on the wrestler's rise to stardom. It is said that the film will not focus on his personal conflicts or talk about the sex tape scandal.
