‘Jhund’ will mark the Bollywood debut of ‘Sairat’ fame director Nagraj Manjule. He shot to fame with the Marathi hit film that also had a Hindi remake ‘Dhadak’. The Hindi film launched Janhvi Kapoor with Ishaan Khatter and went on to mint good money at the box office. Both the films were about a love story between two people from different backgrounds and cast and how it leads to a sad ending as the families intervene.
Bachchan was last seen in ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ with Aamir Khan.
