It has been over two years since the couple filed for divorce, following a temporary domestic violence restraining order against the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor.

Two years after Amber Heard accused her then husband Johnny Depp of domestic violence, the actress on Tuesday spoke about being a domestic abuser survivor in an interview with Glamour but steered clear of mentioning Depp's name.

"When a woman comes forward, she will be met with skepticism, hostility, and shame," she told the magazine. "All a man has to do is point to an incentive. He will. Or society will."

It's over two years since the couple filed for divorce, following a temporary domestic violence restraining order against the ' Pirates of the Caribbean' actor.

In 2017, Depp denied domestic abuse allegations levelled against him and agreed to pay Heard a $7 million divorce settlement. Heard had also dismissed her domestic violence restraining order petition against him.

Heard eventually donated the sum to an organisation that focuses on ending violence against women, and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles.
Heard will soon be seen in 'Aquaman'.
