Akshay Kumar's 'Mission Mangal' to release on I-Day 2019, Karan Johar moves 'Brahmastra' to Christmas

Akshay Kumar has now booked yet another Independence Day for his film after releasing most of his recent work with a patriotic theme on the same date. Announcing the same, Akshay took to Twitter to reveal that his next film ‘Mission Mangal’ will come out to the theatres on August 15, 2019.
Akshay wrote: “A powerful true story of ordinary people with extraordinary dreams, on an unheard of a mission to achieve the impossible. #MissionMangal will come alive on 15th August, 2019. See you at the theaters.”

Interestingly, the slot was reserved for Karan Johar’s ‘Brahmastra’ starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan in lead roles. Karan, it seems, moved the dates for Akshay. Earlier, Akshay had shared a picture with the cast of his film ‘Mission Mangal’ that became a hit with his fans as soon as it was shared. The shoot for the film begins in mid-November. The women-centric film will see a collaboration unlike any with Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu and others.
Also, Akshay and Karan will be collaborating for ‘Kesari’.
