Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif to recreate 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani' in Rohit Shetty's 'Sooryavanshi'

Those who grew up in the 1990s would know how the song 'Tip Tip Barsa Paani' from the film 'Mohra' is synoymous to all things sensual. The song that featured Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar is soon going to be reprised. 

Rohit Shetty's new film 'Sooryavanshi' will have Akshay Kumar again dancing to the song along with actress Katrina Kaif. 

Expressing his joy in recreating a classic, Akshay admitted that he would have been disappointed if someone else had featured in the new version of the song. 

"I would`ve definitely been disappointed if any other actor would`ve recreated `Tip tip barsa paani`, a song which has been synonymous with me and my career and I can`t thank Ratan Jainji enough. At times like these you realize, we may have come a long way but we also go back a long way," Akshay tweeted along with a photograph of him with Jain. 

The iconic Hindi song featured in 'Mohra' which released in 1994. The song was composed by Viju Shah and written by late lyricist Anand Bakshi. 

'Sooryavanshi' is the fourth film of Rohit Shetty`s cop drama universe in which Akshay is essaying the role of Veer Suryavanshi, a character that was introduced as an anti-terrorist squad officer in the Ranveer Singh-starrer 2018 film 'Simmba'. 

The movie, which is scheduled to hit the screens on March 27, 2020, also stars Katrina Kaif and Gulshan Grover.
