If reports are to be believed, Aamir Khan is back to work right after the release of his film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ that also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. He might soon star in a web series based on the epic Mahabharata, according to a report published in Filmfare.

According to the report, the series will be seven-part long and Aamir will be kickstarting the project in the USA. Aamir has been signed on the core team, who will also look into the recruitment aspect for the big-budget project.

Talking of his recent film, ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ started on a fiery note, announced as one of the biggest releases of the year and it stayed true by minting over Rs 50 crore on opening day. The buzz around the film has, however, died down after negative fan reviews.

It is inspired by Philip Meadows Taylor's 1839 novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’ and revolves around the life of a thug and his gang who challenge the British Empire in the country.
