Actor and former contestant of 'Bigg Boss', Armaan Kohli is once again in news for wrong reasons. On Friday, Kohli was arrested from his Mumbai residence for illegally possessing 41 bottles of liquor. Media reports state the majority of the liquor was purchased overseas.

According to the law, one isn’t allowed to have more than 12 units of hard liquor in their possession for over a month. The law also prohibits one from bringing more than one bottle of liquor at a time from abroad.

As per section 63(E) of Bombay Liquor Prohibition Act, 1949, if found guilty, the actor could be jailed for up to three years, with a fine to be decided by the court.

Armaan Kohli has been controversy's favourite child. Earlier in July this year, he was arrested on charges of physically assaulting his then live-in partner Neeru Randhawa. Charges were dropped after the actor paid a  hefty compensation to Neeru.

Kohli marked his Bollywood debut in 1992 with 'Vidrohi'. He also participated in Bigg Boss season 7.
