'2.0' day 2 box office collection: Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar's film continues its monstrous run

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is dominating the box office. The film has had the 7th best opening of 2018.

The Hindi dubbed version of the movie opened at Rs 20.25 crore which may not put the box office on fire but the movie is putting up respectable numbers as per early estimates.

Before the release, 2.0 was touted to be the one that will break the records of Bahubali 2 (Hindi)  and Akshay Kumar's own Gold which had opened to north of Rs 25 Crore.

While the movie opened on a good note, it was no way record breaking.

Forget Gold and Bahubali 2, 2.0 even failed to beat the opening day collections of films like Race 3, Padmaavat and even Thugs of Hindostan.

According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, 2.0 saw a minor drop on its day two earning Rs 19 crore, taking its two day total to Rs 39.25 crore.Tweeting about the early estimates, Ramesh Bala wrote,"#2Point0 in Hindi was holding well yesterday - Day 2 (Friday).. Early Estimates for All-India Day 2 Nett is around ₹ 19 Crs.. Day 1 was ₹ 20.25 Crs..''

While in its Hindi version, 2.0 isn't posting as big a number as it was expected before the release, elsewhere in other versions, the Rajinikanth starrer is wreaking havoc.

The movie is number one in Australia. In Pakistan, the screen count has been increased from 20 to 75 due to high demand. At the USA box office, 2.0 has already surpassed the lifetime business of Rajinikanth's Lingaa in just two days of its release.
