Sensex falls 15 points, Nifty inches up to close at 11,914.05

In early trade, BSE Sensex fell over 100 points amid heavy foreign fund outflow and negative global cues.

The domestic stock markets on Thursday ended on a tepid note as BSE Sensex settled 15.45 points lower at 39,741.36 while NSE Nifty inched up 7.85 points to close at 11,914.05.

Nifty was quoted 35.90 points, or 0.30 per cent, down at 11,870.30 in opening trade today.
 
On Wednesday, Sensex and Nifty both ended in red snapping former's three-day rising streak.

While Sensex ended 194 points lower, Nifty fell 59.40 points, or 0.50 per cent, to close at 11,906.20. 

The domestic currency on Thursday depreciated marginally to 69.37 against the US dollar.

Meanwhile, the global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.08 per cent lower at 59.92 per barrel.
