Twitter is planning to make a new addition to its platform. The social networking site is set to launch a bookmarking feature.

The new addition will allow Twitter to save tweets so that a user can read it later.

Till now users of the social media platform retweeted the tweets or used the "heart" button option to save a post for future reference. However, the "heart" button resembled more like an option and the retweet option was not that quick.

After the new feature is introduced, the users will be able to bookmark a post for future reference, instead of liking or retweeting it.

VP product Keith Coleman made the announcement with the hashtag "Saveforlater".

Other employees from the social site also announced the ongoing progress to launch the new feature on Twitter.
