LPG cooking gas cylinders to be cheaper by Rs 100.50 from Monday

The price of non-subsidised LPG in Delhi has been slashed by Rs 100.50 per cylinder and the same will come into effect from July 1. Upfront cash payment by consumer of domestic LPG will reduce by Rs 100.50 per cylinder.

As domestic LPG prices are subsidized by the government, the effective price after subsidy to the consumers will be Rs 494.35 per cylinder for the month of July 2019, the Indian Oil Corporation said in a statement. 

Earlier this month, United Arab Emirates' (UAE) Minister of State and ADNOC Group CEO Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber assured India of uninterrupted supply of oil and liquefied petroleum gas despite disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had stated he discussed collaboration between India and the UAE during a telephone conversation with Jaber.

Pradhan had previously said that Tripura is country's number one gas producing point and every poor household in the state will have LPG connection in 2019.
