Fuel prices continue to fall: Petrol at Rs 73.24 per litre in Delhi

On Wednesday, the prices of petrol were recorded at Rs 73.57 per litre in Delhi, Rs 79.12 in Mumbai, Rs 76.35 in Chennai and Rs 75.57 per litre in Kolkata.

Petrol prices in the country continued to witness a slump on Thursday with petrol now being sold at Rs 73.24 per litre in the national capital. 

In the financial capital Mumbai, petrol prices slipped to Rs 78.80 per litre. While the prices in Kolkata and Chennai were revised to Rs 75.24 and Rs 76.01 respectively.

The rates of the fuel across India have been slashing due to the fall in the prices of crude oil.

The United States recently softened its stand on Iran's sanctions and given nod to eight oil countries to continue to import oil from Tehran temporarily. The list includes India, China, South Korea, Japan, Turkey, Italy, the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan.
