Sensex, Nifty flat in opening amid trade war fears

Benchmark indices started off last day of the week on a flat note despite better-than-expected fourth quarter GDP data.

BSE Sensex traded higher by 4.39 points, or 0.01%, to 35,326.77, while the Nifty 50 rose 12 points, or 0.11%, to 10,748.15.

Oil & Natural Gas Corp. Ltd shares fell 2.3% to Rs173.20 after PTI reported that the government may ask ONGC to bear fuel subsidy to help cut petrol and diesel prices.
